04-14-12 FRONT END ACCESSORY DRIVE (FEAD) BELT NOISE - VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO 6/1/2004 - 6.0L ENGINE

FORD: 2003-2004 Excursion, F-Super Duty


ISSUE:
Some 6.0L equipped vehicles built before 6/1/2004 may exhibit excessive front end accessory drive (FEAD) belt noise when starting the engine cold. The noise is typically described as a squeal or squawk.

ACTION:
To service, replace the FEAD belt.
