I have an 05' duramax, really rough idle between 1000-2000 rpm, but if you step on the gas it smoothes out. What's up, please help.

I am not really Familar with Duramax's I don't know if they reference their parts like Ford does with Powerstroke, But I am gonna say check your FICM/IDM, " I am not sure If Duramax References the same name for the Fuel Injection Module. That's why I bolded it Id also check your ICP sensor, IPR, and it could be an injector issue as well.


Are you throwing any codes. Id check your MAP/MAT sensor as well. check your intercooler hoses as well.

Do you have a Check Engine Light? Do you have a tune/programer on it?
Have you checked if your fuel filter is on properly?
