Is anyone making a kit to swap a 5.9 into and 08 superduty? I know destroked and ford cummins makes the kits but i can find anything for and 08. I've found a clean truck with a bad motor and i have the 5.9 just can't find a kit.

Well the biggest part i'm wondering about is wiring. Like making all the electronics work, with all the new emission stuff i don't drop in a motor just to have it not run because the computer won't play together.
well what yr engine are you planning on putting in it?
94-98.5, but I don't just want to run a hot wire to everything. Also have to fool the computer for the regen and everything else.
Easy cheesy- We can set you up with everything you need! But why an old 12v in such a new truck? Go Commonrail on that new of truck.
No kidding who puts 12valves in superdutys!

I don't know! :poke :roflol:

Actually I literally just finished that Canadian truck with the 12v and my twins and let me say... Holy $#!T!!! Had her running really good! :)
were the pics fool
People on a budget are the ones who use 12 valves. Common rails are to pricey for me still.

Rebuild the 6.4 and add some extra goodies to it.
If I can "fix" the 6.4 for the right price I will but you can bet I won't keeping it around long. I have no use for a powerchoke.
Dont fix it. I have gone down this road and have elected to drop in a cummins due to the fact that the parts for the 6.4 are so expensive and will remain that way due to the fact that the build run is only three years, and with a cummins there is no more cab off repairs to deal with. Nothing like paying upwards of 3500.00 before they even start to look at fixing the problem. STUPID.

Why waste the money buying the truck then? Just buy a Dodge.
I'll get the new pics up soon! And 12v's arent exactly a budget build motor either. This guy dropped more on his 12v than most do on a CR conversion! I have another guy coming down from Canada with his 08- be here this afternoon. It's getting a twinned CR and Allison. :)

I bought the ford because I got it for 8700 bucks thats why. An 08 crew cab long bed. If dodge would make a real four door and go back to the 5.9 i would buy a dodge. As far as the 12v goes i can do a lot of the work myself and im not looking for 1000 hp. Just a new truck with a real motor that will laste me another 15+ years.
