08 swap?

Is anyone making a kit to swap a 5.9 into and 08 superduty? I know destroked and ford cummins makes the kits but i can find anything for and 08. I've found a clean truck with a bad motor and i have the 5.9 just can't find a kit.

As far as the 12v goes i can do a lot of the work myself and im not looking for 1000 hp. Just a new truck with a real motor that will laste me another 15+ years.

I know what you mean there. plus ca smog sucks so I wanted to avoid that and went with a 95. 12v reliable and no electronic issues plus number 6 lives a longer life

Like what? A Chevy? Your cracking a joke right? :roflol:

JK- We are all Ford guys here, not that we wouldn't/couldn't do a chevy or something else, but we are busy enough with doing Ford swaps that we haven't jumped into the Chummins market.

I was just wondering, I wasn't considering my own truck. I was thinking in the future of a possible project using like a Toyota Tundra or an old GM for a cummins swap.

Well took this puppy home last nite for it's maiden voyage and let me tell ya... well there are no words to describe it... you just need to buy an 08 and let me put a Cummins/Allison in it! haha

I can tell you its great to have my truck back. Steel did a fantastic job on it. I haven't put too many miles on since I took delivery but it pulls nice. EGT's can come up pretty quick but I'm going to swap out IC's and play with the gate a little. I've got tons of air and fuel in there. Just need to find the balance. I know if I could have let them have the truck a little longer they could have had some more seat time in it to fine tune it. But I was pushing to get it back. My bad. Either way, it's sure is nice to have a diesel that sounds like a diesel again. The allison is velvety smooth. Still relearning a little bit but that's to be expected with a fresh tcm. Once I get the initial break-in done and can start feeding it a little more fuel and really let the turbos bark, I will load some pictures and video.

My hats off to you Steel. Thanks for the great job.

Steel has all kinds of pictures. My internet is **** over here so if I want to upload it would take a week to get them on here.

I looked for it on their page too.. :shrugs..

Im sure its nothing personal Chris, every rig they swap is top notch and to do a write up on every one would prolly be a full time job.

I'm getting it up on here in the next week or so as there are some things that are missing. It's for sure the cleanest one to date, Steel did a hell of a job keeping things clean but always keep in mind GOS is a team of 12 people and just about everybody on the payroll had a part in that project. Just want to make sure all of my people get credit where credit is due. Chris, check you email I sold that motor and trans this morning.
