NIce job..... ! how much money was involved.? I wouldnt mind me doing that if Ican find me a doner truck... hell I got everythingI need.... just need a truck
Very nice. I know you'll enjoy it for sure now!
well i bought 2 trucks and all the parts for around 15k, hopefully get some money back selling all the spare parts....hopefully end up around 12k in the end....

this is how the project went...

got the 97 dodge from dan, traded my 2006 in for the 2005 with the blown engine. i stripped the 05 of all the 6.0 crap, trans, wiring...ect ect.. and hot water pressure washed the engine bay. took the engine outa the dodge and then started figuring things out...

to convert the auto to a manual i needed clutch and brake pedal from another sd that was 50$$, slave/master assembly 140$...shifter assembly with boot was 250ish$, removed the auto lever....cut hole in floor, make diff crossmember and moved it into the second set of holes in the frame, the manual trans is 2 3/4 longer than the auto, rear driveshaft shortend and front was long enough....trans and clutch from dan(sogrand)

to mount cummins i got the common rail style engine mounts from destoked they were 400ish overnighted, adaptor for 6.0 zf6 745$...the engine sits about two inchs to the right from center but the fan ends up being centered.....it leans back about 5-6degrees....i used the dodge accessories...had the line from the pump to the hydroboost made and the other two didnt neeed to be changed...the ac isnt done yet but just needs the ford ends crimped on the dodge lines....for the turbo i had to flip the cummins manifold and make a 1/4in spacer so i could clock the turbo the way i wanted and made a new oil feed line and drain line, also made a 4in down pipe.....for the ic pipes the straight dodge one worked just needed to be shortend and then had to make one for the driverside, made lower rad hose and shortend the upper....for wiring i gutted the ford harness of everything but the a/c wires, crank sensor, ect, oil psi, alt, and the tcase wires..... reloomed everything and got some adaptors from the hardware store for the ford sensors in the cummins block....for fuel i used a fass pump and regulated it on the return side of the pump....also had to T the return from the injectors into the main return line....ummmm for the coolant i ran a line from the ford degas bottle to one of the heater core ports, and the other from the heater core to the other port....the starter is on a push botton and fuel pump and shut off are on switches, key only needs to be on to unlock steering wheel and turn guages, radio, and accesssories on.......batterys stayed in stock location, got an airfilter that mounts right to the turbo.....ran some trans lines from trans to rad.....umm i think thats about it.......
