I have recently started putting a 98 12v into my f-350. My question are where did yall mount your factory 6.0l sensors to make your factory gauges work i put the coolant in the back of the head is that ok? Also did yall use the ford fuel pump and let the extra fuel retun to the tank. Thanks for any information or any help.

I also have another question. What accelrator cable did yall use? Ive have read that some use the dodge and some use the ford one? Sorry for all the question im just trying to get parts ready while i wait for my destroked parts to come in.
Should PM or read the build by JPSCustoms on here as he swapped a 12v into his '04 or '05 F350. He will be able to help you out.
I was hoping he would chime in. Ive read his build thread through a couple times just never found the anwser i was looking for. ill shoot him a pm. thanks for the help
coolant sensor in back of the head, oil psi sensor goes just below the p-pump were the dodge psi sensor was. did you get a destroked tach kit??? and ya use the dodge cable, just have to drill a hole in firewall and square it out with a file so the dodge cable clips in. i used a fass fuel pump

EXACTLY :whs.
Did yall have to buy some kind of adapter for the oil pressure gauge to fit form the 6.0 to the cummins? Ive been to three parts stores and lets just say they arent much help. As far as a tach kit not yet trying to figure out my own setup but i cant really test it till the motor is in and im still waiting for destroked parts. Thanks for the information yall i really appericate it.
i made my own adaptor for the oil psi
you got some pics or can you explain how to do this. Is the 6.0 standard threads with a o-ring to seal? Also are you happy with your south bend setup?
Also the tach kit from destroked what does it plug into on the 6.0l harness? Thanks again for the help guys.
I got a bushing from the hardware store for my oil psi. The tach kit runs off your CMP and CKP so dont cut them out of your harness! I will get a pic tomorrow of the bushing I used for my oil psi .By the way sorry JP just thought I'd give the ole boy a hand. J been real helpful with mine
o ok cool. im headed to lowes in a bit to try and figure the oil psi thing out. Intresting that the destroked kit uses both. i was reading up on how to try and figure out my own tach setup. Thanks for the help!
ya they tie both the crank and cam wire together to one sensor, why not sure but it works good!
cool thanks for the info. Which wires do you tie together though? Can you link me the directions or send them to me possibly? I think i might have a way to make my own!
I couldnt find them bushings I was talking bout thought I had an extra one but I don't. As far as the wires you tie together I did - to - and + to +. Probably not much help but thats how I did mine. Got the diagram from my Ford dealership thats how I figured it out
Thanks, i have to go to the dealer monday to get my gas pedal so ill talk to the parts guy then. Are any of yall running cruise control if so which unit ford or dodge? also how did yall wire in the heater grid to be turned on by the key and cut off on its own? Thanks for the good info and help so far yall i really appericate it.
I'm not running my cruise control. You will have to talk to JP for that. He is the wiz on this stuff. Like I said he has helped me tremendously with mine. As far as heater grid mine isn't hooked up. I know you can run it off your existing harness but I cut mine all out. I won't worry about it till it gets cold again.
hopefully he will chime in pretty soon i need to knock this stuff out.
to run cruise u need a the module outa a f150, u can hook it up to the controls on your steering wheel, i havent personally done it yet but planning to this winter, for the grid heat for simplicity reasons i didnt hook it up, truck has started no prob all winter aslong as it was plugged in!
Dang did you have to use either or anything to get it to fire? I see you live way up north it will never get that cold down here. What year f-150? the newer ones or the 97-2003 models. Thanks for the help once again.
