I was pulling my boat today (about 10K Lbs) and about 30 miles into the trip and right before a huge bride my truck went into limp mode. 2000 RPMs max. No choice but to limp over the bridge and get to where I needed to go. Dropped the boat off and even unloaded wouldn't come out of limp mode. Once I disconnected the batteries it cleared and all is well. What causes this? Fuel issues? Allison laying down on me?

are you running any tuner on the truck, have you done anything to the truck, like exhaust/intake?

Pulled the code. Said it was low fuel rail pressure. Hopefully it's the fuel filter an not the pump.

how old is the filter, if its old then it would be good to change it. you might also want to consider a fuel rail shim kit

The fuel filter is only about 5000 miles old. It's a Baldwin brand filter and I've heard after the fact that they are cheap filters. So it could still be the filter. After researching this issue, just today I ordered the shim kit. Fingers crossed!
