Chum is the toy until the warranty on Slick runs out. My dealer is cool with what I have now. I need to get my Allison in Chum and get that sorted out and start working on injectors, fuel box and turbo. The goal for Chum is 1000lb/ft.

why not bolt a built 47re up to the 24v, a built 47re will hold over 1000hp.... let alone 1000lb/ft:thumbsup billet shafts, billet converter, billet flexplate, and vb, finally some good frictions and steels.... it would easier to bolt up and get to work than the alli

dont get me wrong an alli in the chum would be cool, just gonna be more of a headache:bang:thumbsup

Your too late on that debate bro, Josh had a whole thread related to choosing a transmission for Chum. He has already gotten an Allison and an adapter plate for the Cummins.

Yeah Robert. I don't know how I missed your question. I haven't touched Slick's Allison yet. I'm still working small parts for the Allison going in Chum. Okay, not really small parts. I still need to find a 261 transfer case.

To be honest; that was the first time Slick ever ran over 2500 RPM. I would put a stock Allison to the test often. If she doesn't go away in 2011; she will get some real work done.

It's really not that bad from what I hear. I'll put up a thread about that when I do it. I'm hoping for October.

PI torque converter and Allison cooler are both sourced. I need to work some sort of deal get cooling lines ran for the Allison. Of course the da!ned 261 seems to be really hard to find at a decent price.
