Good morning,
I am looking into a new '11 stroke.
My dealers lead diesel tech told me last night they have only had 6 trucks in for minor problems which he says all fixed quickly.
I currently have 2 08's that are driving me crazy. one is fairly reliable in its performance while the other one is the biggest P.O.S. I have ever owned.
Both trucks suck fuel down like it's free.9 and 7 mpg ave.( not that mpgs is the reason for owning 1ton diesels)
the good one is getting on in mileage and as everyone knows you don't want one of these babies being fixed on your own dime.
SO TO THE POINt:
Can anyone expand on my techs claim about the reliability of the 2011 and their near double mpg compared to mine?
Where can I see a list of recalls and tsb/ tsp's?

My 11 F250 has just over 50k on her..and towing 45k of those miles between 5-11k pounds. My personal F350LWB has almost 14 or 15k, cant remember, been perfect also, love these trucks. I added 325 60 r20's vs the stock 275 60 20's and have brought it in for 2 flashes of the Tranny.. my truck is used off and on to tow anything from 3k-16k+ on and off...and the tranny is a learning tranny, and with the larger tire size I had 2 slightly flaired shifts between 2nd and 3rd..so I brought it in..fixed..

The 11 GMC 2500 has 13 or 14k, been flawless as well.

These new generation GM and Ford trucks are vastly improved... I still have 2 6.0, 1 6.4 and 6.6 . The 6.0 and 6.6 have over 250k miles, look like heck but run great...as well as have a Cummins, motor runs body fell apart...but its a 01..Get the Ford..you'll be extremely pleased. Jeff

I have a 2011 6.7 with low mileage and love the hell out of it.

It has been in for the recall on the body harness that did not affect the truck, not the recalled serial number.

There was a problem with mine right out of the box in the form of cracked transmission but Ford made it right and so far I am the only one that had this problem. I got the one that slipped through.

The mileage that I am getting is over all 15-15.5MPG including towing. Without a load she has seen 17MPG, but once I start hauling it is down to 15 fast.

I do not know if this helps you... but I can honestly say this is my 4th HD diesel and best one hands down. I love this truck!

Big C.,

What I heard and read in few Ford specfic fourms and there is not much major issue with them even with new 6.7 V-8 engine.

Just a couple little details and that useally deal with dealership real quick.

Just stick in this fourm you will learn a bit with other 6.7 owners and read the fourms there will be a tip or deux along the way.

Merci.
Marc
