3406B/C fuel pressure increase?

I was reading a post by Tony that said to grind out the openings in the fuel filter base, and take off the hand pump, just wondering if anybody had any luck with that and will it work with just the stock draw pump, meaning no pusher electric pump? Also will I lose my prime if I take the hand pump off? Any body know if the late 80s kw had a electric fuel pressure gauge factory or mechanical, I seen one in the truck paper an 89 and thought about going that route for a gauge, seeing how I cant keep the isspro mechanical working right very long with a snubber

That would work in a perfect world, but sometimes the electric pump just wont pull the fuel until you unscrew the hand pump and jack it a few times.

Spending the money on a Fass system, or any other pressurized system has never been proven to me to do any good to me.
If I was going to spend any money on the filtration system I would add a Davco system, that works, 0 restriction on the fuel pump. Detroit use to double the injector warrenty on units that had the Davco system install as a factory option. To me that is proof the system works.
Just a thought!

The Fass will not prime the system during filter change, even if the new filters are full. I always have to reinstall my primer to get the fuel system primed again.

As long as your fuel system is sound and you dont have any lines sucking air you should not loose prime, but should that happen you will not have very good luck getting it primed. I run an autometer electric guage for my fuel pressure, the T600s we had did not have pressure gauges in them, the had fuel restriction gauges.
That is strange I've got a 1988 t600 with a four and a quarter b model in it and it has a fuel pressure gauge and it has a the gauge for your fuel filter
