is it a must for the motor to be balanced or can i just get hardend keepers . im not wanting too run 5000 i would like too get around 4500 any info would be great thanks.

well ive got a 5k but i dont have heavy valve springs yet so i havnt goten it over 3200 RPM. i would amagin things would need to be balenced at that RPM, but im not sure, anyone got any experiance with this?

I believe 4400 RPM without balancing if I remember right.

You will not see over 4500RPM on the 160hp pump using a 5K GSK. The stock bottom even with 12mm mains will hold 4800RPM, the keepers want to pull through the retainers over 4200RPM however.

So if you were to put some titainium keepers and retainers without balancing the bottom end, the motor could hold more than 4500RPM safely?

so do you tihnk i can run up too 4500 if tuned right with the hardend keepers and retainers?
