Now that the 12v is in the truck I was planning the plumbing for the intake, right at the air horn the degas bottle sticks out and down about 1" too far so I cannot get my CAC boot on. Has anyone had this problem? Is there another degas bottle that I could use like one for a V10, V8, 7.3l or even another car altogether? or is my motor sitting too far back or too high. there is about 3-4" between the oil pan and cross member and there is about 2" between the end of the block and the fire wall. I tried bending the bracket that holds the degas bottle but that only makes it worse.
I talked with Steel yesterday. It looks like I can use an old catch can type resivoir I have floating around. If it doesn't work then I will just get the one GOS makes.
Does anyone have a diagram of how the coolant flows through a 12V? I have a hose comming off of the rear of the block at I think it is where most have the temp sensor. I would like to keep it because I heard there is a little bit of a problem with the #6 cyl heating up.
