Hi
I have recently heard that the pistons from a 6.7L can be used in an earlier 5.9L 24 V for better performance. Can anyone point me in the direction of more info on this ?

Thanks

Why do you want to change the pistons? If you are just wanting more performance what have you all ready done and how much do you want.

Yes they are making Hybrids between 5.9 and 6.7 parts pistons, rods, cranks

Yeah, I've been thinking of trying to stroke my 5.9L out to a 6.7L one day. It would be pretty sweet. I'm not sure how the spray patterns are though. If they are different, then you may need a different nozzle to work properly with the 6.7L pistons.

Are the main and rods the same on the 6.7 as the 5.9? Meaning will the 6.7 crank drop right in and the rods bolt up? Custom pistons would be required to lower the pin height for the increased stroke but you could have a set made with 12V bowls.
