why cann't a geared tranny put out as muck as a aisin 6 speed auto trans with 885 lbs torque thanks
I assume you mean "can't"
The clutch won't handle the torque very long, it will start slipping. Also it has to due with the strength of the transmission gears and shafts, to much torque/twisting will lead to breakage unless you know how to drive it.

The engine is "detuned" to a lower torque/Hp. with the manual transmission.
