I have heard of people having issues installing the GL4. Bill's a pretty busy guy so if you don't hear from him today give another call.

alright guys time for an update.

ended up talking to Bill Heath and tackled this timing issue once again yesterday, end result was the lift pump was too far out of whack to even do a TDC offset and the ECM couldn't compensate so i ended up using trial and error and physically moving the IP, a little towards passenger then back a little towards driver until i got a TDC Offset of -1.5

now the P0216 and the P1214 are gone! never to return! truck runs and sounds great, unfortunately i'm still getting the P1643 after a couple starts but Bill said could be a bad ground somewhere or even a burnt out bulb in the instrument cluster not related to the glow plugs at all, i'll have to take some more time and check it out. but the timing is properly set and that was the most important.

other than that the GL4, turbomaster and heavy duty lift pump seems to be a great running combo for my truck, lots of pedal when i need it and no more intermittent turbo operation due to that silly vac system. very easy to install all the items too, took me just under 4 hours for everything including the vac pump removal and i also swapped my intake for an "F" engine intake off a 93 2500, very satisfied with the results.

thanks again to all the insight on this problem hope i can return the favor one day guys, i'm also thinking acesneights1 should be working for heath diesel since one of your posts was the solution for my problem before even talking to Bill Heath haha.

I'm far from the experts, I learned from them. ChrisK1500 and others including Bill H were some of my mentors so credit where credit is due but your welcome. One thing I didn't quite get though, You said the LP was out of whack but you put a new HD one in ?? Was the new HD one out of whack or did you replace the Outta whack one with the HD. Bill know's me well. Just mention Kenny in CT.
