2011 F-250/F-350/F-450 SD Pickups Preview: Emissions Friendly

The 2011 F-Series Super Duty® will be the cleanest Ford truck diesel ever. It uses Diesel Exhaust Fluid to meet the strict 2010 calendar year diesel emissions requirements. Some key features include:

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is injected into the exhaust system, to greatly reduce harmful NOx levels
DEF is a solution of approximately 1/3 high-purity urea in demineralized water that is clear, non-toxic and is safe to handle
DEF tank and fill nozzle are located together with the diesel fuel tank and fill on the driver’s side of vehicle and requires refilling at oil change intervals
If the DEF tank reaches 1000 mile distance to empty level, a instrument cluster warning alerts the driver
DEF will be available from dealerships, major auto parts chains, and gas stations

SOUNDS TEMPTING, well maybe not
What I've seen in competitors versions of 'roll stability' is a system that when you panic and over correct ,the steering wheel basically disengages momentarily. It's not even a true steering column anymore. A fly by wire set up. What happens when you coming down Wolcreek pass into the turns and the sensors fail???
Also when the urea tank empties does a dash light come on or because its empty and in direct violation of some new EPA laws, put the engine into limp mode so you can get it to the side of the road....? safely, of course

Just 1 question How can Ford say that their truck is better than anyone elses 2011 when the compation has not built a 2011 yet? just a thought.:usflag
