07, 150k, bone stock, new AC compressor and fan belt at 100k

When it's really hot outside and I accelerate hard (no load or towing) the fan engages, which it always has. The concern is that now around 2500rpms and above I get this screeching noise - a cross between fingers across a chalk board and some type of terrible electrical static. My dad thought maybe the fan clutch was going out and that at higher RPMs was causing the noise? Only hear the noise when it's hot and fan engages. Can be from dead stop or stomping on it while on the highway.

THANKS!

Check te belt for signs of glazing on the smooth side and also check the water pump pulley area for belt dust. If the belt is not hard and shiny, and there is no dust by the water pump pulley, they it's likely the fan clutch itself makig the noise.
