Depending on placement, they'll do a fair job. If you're looking for smooth ride, mount them behind your axle. If you want more weight carrying capacity, mount right over axle. Sacrifices the ride quality a little...

If you want both a smooth ride and capacity, find a set of rear bags from a big truck. Get the leveling valve too, if it's in good shape. I have looked at several different designs, and haven't found the one that suited me. I had a set of bags from an older New Holland 855 round bailer and I'm in the process of building my setup now.

im going to run a parallel 4 link in the rear, i was more concerned with the front and 3" drop spindles too.

for anyone that cares, i called autoworld and they said the cummins is only 150 lbs more than the 454. so, i am not worried about the bags.
