That's a pretty cool idea. Probably make a set of led's up for less than $120 tho.

I like em. I wonder how weather resistant they are.

A buddy of mine put those on his truck. He says they look cool but are darn near worthless for lighting up the bed.

thanks for all the input/experiences....i guess ill continue to rely on the "cargo light"
to check to make sure the motorcycles and gear are still in the back of the truck and
"up right".

FWIW for years ive been putting red "CELL" in the interior dome light (in the crew cab
i pull the bulb outta the front dome light)....the red cell-ophane eliminated the glare...so
i can turn on the dome/cargo light and look out the rear (tinted) window and still see
the cargo.

if the interior dome lights are WHITE they create glare and TOO much bright-ness at
night.

im sure that works "better" but unless you do something to the
bright white interior dome bulbs you wont be able to look out the
rear <tinted> window.

I could see putting a couple of fog lights, on their own switches, facing
the rear (like work lights), but i dont really have a place to mount 'em

I have them on their own switch, this way i can turn them on while park or driving and not have to mess with the dome light. they are nothing fancy, actually point twords the cab(they cross the bed on a diagonal.) :bluesbros
