I have an XLT CC 4x4 so not the full load and only the 'modest' display.

My doors auto lock at 20 kmh and do unlock when the truck is shut off and I open my door however it is really frustrating when I park the truck, leave it running, go around and all the other doors are locked. Usually when I have something in my hands that is a PIA to set down.

Anyhow, I know that my Dad's D-max opens all locks when the shifter goes into park. I can't find that option on my model and my salesman couldn't help me either.

Is there a way to change this on my model or am I stuck with the factory presets?

Thanks in advance.

you can disable the 'Autolock' feature altogether if you like. i believe the 'AutoUnlock' only unlocks the doors when shifted into P, truck shut off, and driver's door open.

when i leave the truck run and need to get in another door, i just hit unlock on the way out. or i'll lock it and use the keypad to unlock all (which you may not have).

if it's that annoying, you may just have to disable the 'AutoLock' altogether.

Yes I do unlock when the truck is running but forget a lot and yes, it is frustrating. I would just like to take out the auto-unlock completely as I feel it isn't a necessary feature. My kids haven't jumped out yet.

Do I need to go to the dealer for this? I don't see anything on my consel display that allows that option but maybe Im not running it correctly.

I do not think you can change this, I checked with our dealership and they did not have a solution. And yes I feel you pain, my last truck (GMC D-Max) unlocked all the doors when in park... one feature I miss.

i saw this as an option under truck settings. IIRC, there was an 'On/Off' selection for both AutoLock and AutoUnlock.

i think...

Mudguppy is correct

On a Lariat, you can go into settings and change the Autolock feature. I will have to check on the XLT, but if you have the productivity screen feature which is an option on the XLT, you should be able to??

I guess I don't have that option. The dealer is going to see if it can be done when I bring it in next time. They said they wouldn't charge me as they are still learning about these models and have had one other person want to do the same thing.

Guess next truck I will get the Lariat.

I have the Lariat and seen this option, I will try it again but I do not think there is a way to unlock all the doors when in park with the truck still running.

page 137...

Auto Unlock Feature (If Equipped)

• The vehicle has then come to a stop and the ignition is turned to the off or accessory position.

I hope this answers your question but the model truck does not really matter I do not think.
