buddy of mine has an 08 quad cab 4x4 short bed and i noticed the turn over ball is set forward about 3 to 4 inches over the axle in his bed. anybody know why this is? reason i ask is that with the companion in there just seams that it would take up valuable turning room with a fifth wheel hooked up.

That's acceptable it distributes more weight to the front axle.

:whs That is where the B&W's mount. You can buy an attachment from b&w to move the ball back in the truck bed for goosenecks though.

yeah, it just sucks that you loose that extra turning space with the companion. what about the mega cabs, are they way over as well? thinking about a dodge on my next truck, but this might be an issue. Thanks Josh
