Bed Plate Gasket Leaking

We just bought a 2010 6.4L F350 with 91,000. Didn't need anything fancy just wanted to be able to pull a bigger trailer. Everything seemed to be in great condition both appearance and running. Got it home and after a few days noticed a very minor oil leak on the concrete. maybe 2 drops every time we park it. Took it in and the mechanic said it is bed plate gasket leaking and it's a 5k fix. We got the truck for a pretty good deal but after putting 5k in it we would be spending more than it's worth. we plan on pulling a horse trailer with it probably 3-8 hours away. Is this something we should be concerned with getting fixed? Like I said it's a very small leak but it does drip
