Been considering these new BFG's http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-selector/size/315/75/16/OE/BWT/all-terrain-t-a-ko2/tire-details
for a winter tire when released for sale next November. We get severe snow-ice conditions in my region. Other types of dedicated soft compound snow-winter only tires never seem to last long on heavy trucks like a SuperDuty due to the weight of the vehicle with a diesel engine and torque. When I've run studded tires on our truck, they just tear off by half tread. These BFG's have the 315/75-16 size and load rating I'm looking for, they just won't be the best for hydroplaning.
From the info I have found, these tires are already in full production, but are likely awaiting release for sale date until all the dealers are stocked. This a general practice for new products to equal the playing field among dealers-distrubutors.
