Just got a 05 king ranch crew cab long box 4/4 FX4 with CCCC spring code. I think thats 6k front springs and 7k rear. Anyways just wandering if the Bilstien HDs have enough dampening for the truck with a 5th wheel. I ran Bilstein 5150s on the back of my 97 F250 hauling the same camper and they rode really nice loaded or empty. they were the heaviest valving they had 250/70 something like that. Sucks they are 4'' to short for this truck.

Problem is they are only 10'' stroke shocks, I feel i need 14'' shocks to work properly in the back. I think tomorrow i will make an adaper to convert them from eye to stud and try them up front. they have more then enough travel for the front of the truck. Problem is these shocks are about $240 a pair so for about the same price i can get the whole HD set. Just dont know what the best choise is.
