Picked up a OEM block heater and went to remove the old shorted one, doesn't want to budge. I'm afraid to put to much on it as the aluminum housing my crack, and that would be ugly. Any suggestions, heat on the housing is my next move, other than that don't know.
Anybody have this issue?
TIA Greg
Put some heat to it from hi temp heat, no worky
Had 250# torque wrench on moved a little not much.
I can see the aluminum housing cracking and oil and coolant going everywhere in the not to distant future.
Update later.

Drain the coolant so you won't have a spill. No oil should be involved.
I just want to get it loose enough to remove, then I'll drain it down enough to change it out. Guess I'll do the breaker bar with cheater next.
