It is a companion code, and is no big deal! Now if your tach starts to fail then it would mean that your Cam Sensor is bad...but I throw 1693 along w/ others with my Comp.

Most of us, at least 75% of us have had this code. I have it on BOTH of my trucks. Seriously.

Like Nathanal said it's a companion code, figure out the other code.*

*If it's still there

Is this from a code reader or the ODO?

Not all codes come up on the ODO, so your going to need to run a Scanner on it, that way you will see any other codes on the truck.
