Got some photos from Corey @ Sasquatch today and all seems to be comming along good. Looking to have it back on the road in early April, needless to say I'm getting a bit itchy. I cant say enought about the professional work/attitude Corey has had during the entire process. Thanks man!!!:thumbsup

Oh man! What happened?
Its just one thing after another and has lost its 'worth it' value to me. In the past I've always had a pride in my truck and sense of security knowing I can rely on it anytime, anywhere.

My list of things to do gets longer as I get things fixed. Guess I'm just tired of putting money toward fixing things versus modifications and upgrades. Besides the fact that the high dollar components I have on it already are junk. I'll probably be going back to 6.0 leaker group and forget it.

Here's todays events....:bang....Last straw.

I understand that. Did it get the radiator, or just the fan and shroud? I'm sure you won't have any issues selling your truck.
Luckily it didnt take the rad. with it.
Couldn't you just put in an electric fan? I understand your feeling tired of dealing with it, but you built yourself one BADAZZ truck!
Yes, I could. I would just need to have an electric fan made up to fit the Ford body with a controller for the Cummins ECM. Only thing is time to get it done.

I've gotten a new fan and schroud, and hopefully Matt will have a clutch I can use. So I should have it back on the road shortly. But it seems I keep getting kicked in the %uts and its gotten old.
Brian have you looked at UPI? http://www.universalpartsinc.com/

I'm going through them when Chum gets A/C. They make a nice product and they are well under what Flex-a-lite kit costs.
As stated by Doc, felxalite makes a cummins electric fan kit.
The UPI kits are better and less expensive, IMO. I prefer Spal fans.

You would know better than me, the flexalite was the only one I knew of. I'm not up to date on my cummins swaps :haha.
You can send UPI the deminsions and they make the shroud. Really cool to deal with. Chum is PITA. She has no fan right now. Temps never get above 202 on IR gun, even towing. When I put the A/C back on I have to add fans. Trying to find >2" thick fans is fun. I run a Duramax radiator and intercooler. I should have named her Frankenstein.

Sorry fellas, I've got one very un-sharing wife already. So adding another woman to the mix is a no go.:haha

That being said I was told this morning I am not allowed to sell my truck, yet. Apparently have not given it enough time to appreciate it and make it work. Sounds like a relationship to me. In turn she gave me the go on finding another truck, within reason, to keep me happy while the main rig is down. Too bad it dosent work like this when she's pregnant.:haha j/k hunnie.

All frustrations asside I hope I may rely on you guys for guidence to get her running right.

Did you already buy a new fan and shroud? Call the guys at UPI, you may be surprised at what it costs. Even with the the Spal PWM kit it was cheaper than a Flex-A-Lite.
Yes, they had them in stock so I grabed them. I think I have a line on a clutch as well but havnt heard back.

I really have considered using electric. And will call UPI and see what they have to say. Only problem being is that I'm running 2 ECM's. Not sure how it will work for the A/C as it's controlled by Ford and the fan is controlled by Cummins. To cobat this I added an additional pressure transducer to the high side A/C line for signal to the Cummins ECM. So maby it wouldnt matter.

Getting the fan and such figured out should not be that hard. I have to pull the whole front end apart anyways to 1) fix the front crank seal, 2) make a new upper rad hose that doesent look dorky, 3) figure out some way to get all my pullies in line so the %&%&%&% belt will quit squeeking. Either fan setup will just go back in while it's all appart.

I'm pretty sure you can wire a Spal FRH into your existing harness using a single 16" fan and be fine. You go all-out and run dual 12" fans. I don't have a fan at all since I don't run A/C. No issues.

I use two ECMs as well. The GM ECM runs the gauges and what few convenience features I have..
