Been looking online and cant find a pic or part num for a SD truck. I would probably go with dual fans in a shroud.

Call and give them the radiator dimensions. The shroud they make fits like a glove. It also looks great. I had some pics of the ones SSOR uses but I don't know if I forgot to D/L them or what.
What do you see as the benefits to electric fans over mech? Besides the gernading effect I just experienced.
The usual myth is that it frees up HP. If you are running A/C you are already loading the motor pretty well. F-a-L does advertise a HP freeing affect. I don't see that as a measurable benefit, IMO. I do believe it is much, much quieter. They also very, and I mean very rarely, grenade on you. Plus they look sweet andf free-up some space. If this quits; $80 gets you a brand new fan. I see serviceability as the main benefit.

On a side note, this is the only way I can put a fan in Chum since I have less than 2" between the radiator and pump pulley. Both trucks will have these soon.
Dosent sound like they will have an application for me. Atleast he didnt recomend doing one.
That's odd. They had no issues with what I wanted. I think I talk to Ryan. Those Spal duals move more air than a F-a-L kit does. That is kind of odd. I hope they will still do mine.
They said they would make me one. I didnt catch the name of the person I talked with but he had plenty to say. The main reason he advised against it was the fact I use it to pull heavy.
I understand that. I rarely pull over 10K.
i certainly hope you keep it.

I bought the 7.3 fan from Flex a lite and it fit below and made some easy brackets up top....simple
I'm done F-in with this truck. Just been fading from dream to nightmare. Not sure what else to do other than face it and drive on to somthing else.
What exactly happened here???

I was reading every post, everything seemed good, then the "tee" broke, was replaced with a brass one, next thing you wanna sell it....

What were all the little things pushing you this far over the edge?

Just curious cuz the install looks beautiful...seemed to run smooth in the video's....what kind of grief are/were you having?

Thanks:happymugs

He is right.I have the flex lite duals and they won't keep up towing a empty 3 horse Circle J with living qtrs.Trailer weighs right around 10k.I got her hot couple times.

Hot lapping at the drag strip I got hot also_Only had one fan running was using the other relay for some water injection.

Cool thing about the fans was the AC was colder in traffic.I could hear them over the idle of a 7.3 when they ran at 100%.

1 large frustration? MY TRANS DOES NOT shift right. I dont care who tells me, or how much more I $pend, talking to other people. It should go from 1-2-3-OD, with actual shift points in between. And when OD hits it should not slam so hard things fly around in the cab. It's done this from mile zero and all I've heard from my concerns are "thats just the way" blah, blah. Full Billet POS.
Man! Everyone recommended that setup to me.
Getting the fan and such figured out should not be that hard. I have to pull the whole front end apart anyways to 1) fix the front crank seal, 2) make a new upper rad hose that doesent look dorky, 3) figure out some way to get all my pullies in line so the %&%&%&% belt will quit squeeking. Either fan setup will just go back in while it's all appart.
your not the only one that the front crank seal went bad. Mine did also. Thats when I did the fan. 2 weeks ago

I should appologise than. I was one that said you should go that route. Then I was under the impression my issues were just a quick tweek away. And I thought for ease of app. that it would be the best/quickest and hold the best power for you. In addition: I believe that my issues are an isolated incident.

Well I got a call from Matt this am and he had a clutch for me to use. It's back on the road and ready for the next fix I guess.

Keep me in the loop on how the fans work out for you. I may go that route when/if we pull everyting back apart to do new turbos and fix some other stuff, like the front seal.

If there is anyone out there with a good trick for getting all these pullies in line I'm all ears.

No worries Brian. I was going that route. I was at SC getting ready to drop a small fortune when I got a great deal on the Allison. I really hope you get it all sorted out.

The OEM Ford pump. Why?
