Will disk brakes from a Dana 70, bolt on to a Dana 80?

Is this for the race truck Ted?

Thinking bout a Mark Williams moly tubed D60, rifle drilled axles,a spool and some wilwoods- myself... :woot:

I am not sure yet, the Dana 70's are strong enough but since I do have access to a Dana 80 I thought I would ask before I make any plans.

Mark Williams has some nice stuff, but its expensive.

Around $3200. but install it and forget bout any problems- oh and the weight savings..............not something ideally for the street but if it is for the race truck- fudge it!

I know you've been busy these past few months with your move North, but what did you end up doing with your brakes? Did you attempt to swap em? And the result? :popcorn:

I decided to go the 9 inch route, but haven't built it yet, just got a housing so far.

Grab one of those 11.5" Mark Williams rear ends :smoke:

The last one I saw the invoice for was just under 13 Grand! :HappyMugs

Mark has some nice dependable stuff, but that price can sneak up on you pretty quick.

We put a Mark Williams moly tubed Dana 60 in a 63 Dodge Polara Max Wedge Stroker Motored race car and I could NOT believe how lightweight the thing was........liteweight spool -liteweight ring gear -40spline drilled axles....the works!

I was even more shocked over the Mark Williams Carbon fiber Driveshaft......

You don't know how BAD I wanted to slip that beauty under the truck.....
Got me thinking though........


And yes Ted the price DOES sneak up on ya!! :sly:
