Built a metal plate for the back support, same size as the dashdaq, but a little smaller than the inside of the edge mount to allow to move slightly.
Drilled the 4 holes for the screws on the metal plate
Drilled a big hole for the wire plug on the metal plate.
Enlarged the bottom part of the Edge mount to accomodate the lower 2 holes
Put the screws through the metal bracket, add orings to keep them in place.
That is all.
I am considering having the plates pre-made and offer them for cheap with the dashdaq and a modified mount.
I mounted in a very simple way. using the brackets that came with it. Im out of town till sunday, so i'll post pics sunday or monday.Thanks. Did you make yours the same way Colton?
I was planning on mounting up by the rear view mirror but it seemed like a lot of work and i didnt want to custom fab something at the time.I love the look and the mount but what I dont like it that its a easy smash a grab, the ******* thieves dont know what they are grabbing. that is why I want to mount it by my mirror?? but we will see
