The DT360 is IMO, the best medium duty engine ever produced.
It is light, wet linered (in-frame rebuildable), durable, and VERY easy to work on with no real issues.
It is completely different than the DT466 (B&C), as the block, head, and all internal parts are smaller (shorter). However, MANY parts from the 466 will also fit the 360 like: Thermostats, injection pumps, filters, injectors, valves, rocker arms, water pump, alternator, starter, brackets, .... the list goes on. Basically, if it is not related to the difference in engine LENGTH or HEIGHT, it will fit either one.
The DT360 and DT466 (B&C) were tractor engines first, and some pullers use them with great success, so there is a lot of potential with both.
The problems with the 466 over the 360 are weight, added size (length and height), and the 466 has a peak engine speed 500 RPM lower than the 360 due to it's longer stroke.
The DT360 would be my choice for any conversion.
