I wouldn't even mess around with it. 06's weren't variable either. Just the 07 6.7's. If you want something that'll match the performance a VGT, buy a Garrett Dual Ball Bearing turbo. They sound mean too.
you woulnd need to rewrite the ecm with a newer calibration, and maybe it would work, but then to have it match a ISB vp 44 controled engine, compared to a HPCR, I'm not for sure but i think the ecm are different, the turbo is controled elctronically if i remember right,
