I just installed an pyro probe this weekend for my Quadzilla Recon Monitor. Everything works great and it looks nice.

However, after install and a few miles I decided to check the probe in the manifold and the transmission probe to ensure everthing was looking good.

I noticed that there is some black residue around the EGT probe where the threads meet the manifold. I started the truck, don't hear a leak and can't feel a leak with my fingers. The probe is in really tight and went in perfectly.

Should I be worried? Is it common to have a bit of residue? Maybe it will plug itself in time?

Thanks!

:thanks:

If you can not hear or feel a leak and you feel that you had good placement on it, I would leave it, and maybe just check it every now and then. If it starts to leak, you will def know it. It can get loud.LOL
