Im trying to find a 12v(+) "engine running" feed for a battery
isolator relay.

I picked up one of the wires off the alternator, but when
i use that signal the alternator light (on the dash turns on).

Can anyone recommend what wire to use ?

Hey Bush. Did you ever find this lead and do you know what the current draw might be? You should be able to get that lead under the dash at the key switch. Just use the Accessory wire which I believe is grey/yellow. I will have to dig into my notes and see if I have it labeled and if not then I can take the underdash down and find out which wire it is. Let me know if you still need it and I will get you the wire color.

Pat - I did find the feed...i needed a wire that was ON when the alternator was charging & not interrupted when the starter was cranked.

i picked up the 12v feed fromt he trailer charge circuit wire, I needed the signal/wire
feed to be in the engine bay, so i could attach it to the 500 A isolation relay for my
3rd battery
