It's one turbo. But it had Two compressor wheels
I tend to agree with you on this Aaron. A good friend of mines LBZ does this too.when did they put a wastegate on a VGT? or does this dual compressor turbo need one to bleed excess pressure from one of the compressors?
Ive also never heard a wastegate sound like that before....... like i said sounds more like the turbo vanes opening to release excess drive pressure when the engine slows down
It's funny to read what you put but also very surreal... Let the games begin! :kickthat sounds great. lets see if ford makes a better powerstroke than international
actually ford didn't just make a powerstroke with the 6.7. They called it the scorpion not a powerstroke.that sounds great. lets see if ford makes a better powerstroke than international
Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment but "Scorpion" was the code name for the new motor Ford was building and the name "Powerstroke" is owned by Fordactually ford didn't just make a powerstroke with the 6.7. They called it the scorpion not a powerstroke.

I understand this, but ford isn't calling the 6.7 a powerstroke motor are they? All i was trying to say is that ford is calling the 6.7 a scorpion and not a powerstroke. That's all i was saying.Maybe I am misunderstanding your comment but "Scorpion" was the code name for the new motor Ford was building and the name "Powerstroke" is owned by Ford

Going Green Baby! Its the new craze...:guitarwhy did they put that stoopid-azzt 'B20' on the emblem?

A few posts back someone referred to the engine as Scorpion and there was some discussion. Eric was posting the picture for clarification, I believe. ChrisOk.........
Thanks Eric. It's clear that the new 6.7 is in fact a powerstroke then. I just don't understand what the deal is with the whole scorpion name. I also don't know why ford would call or give this new motor a name such as the "scorpion" and yet still call it a powerstroke. It just confusing why there are two names for this motor.
