Looking at an 87' pete 359exhd, 63" flat top sleeper, air leaf susp., 13 speed. Its number 240 of 359. Says it has a 425hp 3406 Cat motor. What are the specifics I should be looking out for? Whats the difference between 3406A and 3406B? What should I be asking about it? (have three macks so I know the basic ?s) How is the Cat vs the Big Cam 400?? Ive always wanted to own this exact model so its going to be my baby but still be used. Thanks for all the info

The engine should be a 4MG 3406B they are good engines, find out when the last bearing roll was, If you want a 359 these were about the best and somewhat collectable. check the aluminum C channels under the doors that the cab mounts fasten to If you run mechanical macks you will like the Cat. just look it over real well petes are good trucks.
