Flashing Lamp Out Light / 03 Ram

Looking for some help with this issue on a 2003 Ram 2500:help
This morning when i cycled the key for the glow plugs, the lamp out light started flashing and the chime was going off too. As soon as i turn the key to on, it starts flashing and it chimes 5 times, then a very short pause and one more chime. After about 30 seconds the light goes from flashing to steady on and stays on until the truck is shut off. Anyone have any ideas what would cause this? Your help would be appreciated!

Check your rear taillight connectors where the bulbs plug into. The connector plate burns out over time and sets off the lamp out warning.

I had this also. The stock taillight bulbs in these pickups lose connection easily. Mine were a platic type bulb. Finally broke down and replaced all the bulbs to solve issue.

then why not to go with the replacement to get the trouble sorted out
