How hard is it to replace the boot on the front drive shaft of a 4x4? I tore a hole in mine yesterday putting on a leveling kit. Do you just remove the bolts from the differentialuniversal joint and remove the front portion of the driveshaft? Is there any maintanence I can/need to do while I have it apart? Does it go back together just one way and what do you torque the bolts back to?

You should be able to unbolt the shaft, pull it apart and replace the boot. The big thing to remember is to put it back togeather the same way it came apart. If you put it back and the u-joints aren't aligned it will be out of phase and cause a viberation.
The only maintenance is make sure it's well greased.
I don't have the torque specs but maybe somebody will be able to help out with that. I've always just tightened the heck out of them.
