already told you ,dont need your help, you dont impress me ,try someone else
I can't tell whom you are directing this towards, but I'm assuming it was towards me. Unfortunately I wasn't commenting to anything you've posted in days. Second if it was directed towards Far_Call under the assumption that I have 2 different usernames on this forum than you've made an error. Far_Call is somebody who probably has forgotten more info about CAT engines than would fit in my puny little brain.

Have a blessed day

PS: GM.......... it isn't worth it...........get in the car and stand on the throttle........it'll make you smile and forget your worries.....if you don't scare yourself first

Some guys only believe the hype that's shoved down their throats! Instead of reading and learning the things u can do to one of CAT'S pos! A lot of the mechanics at shops around me are same way. Never wanna listen to u since u sit in the truck for hrs and have a idea what its doing. But I get truck back and it still idles like its got a big lumpy cam in it! Lol and tell me , well some CAT'S just idle like that! Huh!?

for the ones with real problems, will do all i can to help, you can look an grade knowledge here AH.listen i can help ,you have to be willing to listen ,remember in life if your not riding the wave of change your underneath it,ok,
I cannot make out the bulk of this as I don't know what "grade knowledge" is, but you have sound advice in regard to listening. You should heed your own advice.

I cant stand to read this dudes posts, so I dont know what hes saying. Im really not sure why you guys are wasting your time arguing with him. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about or even want to TRY to LEARN as many of us do!!!....This is why Tony left, and this is why we will loose more like him.

Ignore this "jr cat guru"

the people that have been here, the ones that read, ask legit questions and offer legit advise know who to listen to and not listen to.

Thank you MR Haney for all the help. Im looking at a 04 525 CAT and may need advice (ok, I will need it)

Far_Call, I seriously hope that both you and Kurt can find the patience to overlook some of the stupid comments on this board, we have a lot of really good helpful members and it really sucks when one misplaced comment (by Roger, he is usually very well behaved) and the ravings of a self important idiot, we all know who that is, knock something off of the rails. :stars

Ah but I enjoy banging my head against a brick wall every once in a while. The pain I induce by doing this takes my mind off of the pain in my arse.

I've about given up and as soon as I'm healthy again and can pick up anything over 30lbs(14KG), I'm positive I'll have a new job title and nickname if the opportunity is still open.

I read this whole thread and had to laugh at how arrogant this Jr. fellow was. It's really sad how this younger generation lacks in respect. It's funny how he used"ok" at the end of his sentences, like he was the one of authority. If I would've acted like that when I was younger I would've got my butt whooped or got thrown in the stock tank.
I am new here, but I too need some help with my cat, mbn. Learned something new on this thread about the manifold...come to think of it, mine is starting to make some leaky noises, slowly getting worse.
Mr. Haney, how much approx. will it cost me to flash the ecm, get a different turbo, a cam, and injectors....whatever it takes to get back to the 6nz/7cz ( still learning) could you pm me as I am still new here? Thanks in advance! - Marcus

Mr Haney ,
Are u still here???
I get a kick outa reading this thread! Haha
Anyways almost 2yrs and i gotta say the Revised MBN is awesome!
I think it can use a little more though.
Whats the next step from turbo and tune?
Cam and Injectors? Or can i do either or?
It pulls really good, just isn't as responsive as the 6nz we have. Although the 6nz has 4.33s and the mbn has 3.91s..but i think if i remember back to when we talked that the mbn cam is different then the 6nz and so are the injectors?
Thanks
Hope your still around.

Every once in a blue moon I'll log on. Unfortunately it isn't very often, today is probably the first time in at least 3-4 months.

Threads like this one are some of the reasons I don't log on often. As I've gotten older the desire to explain things has diminished when it is a fight to get the point across. It is easier for me to be lost in my own word, let alone fight in someone else's world with a keyboard

The MBN never got good fuel mileage not matter what type of work they did in comparison to a 6NZ 550 doing the exact same work. Why? Poor injection timing in the timing tables of the programming. Catalytic converters in the mufflers caused high exhaust restrictions. These are the 2 biggest culprits, but they can be made to get good fuel mileage while producing good Hp too
Mr Haney is it possible to have your direct info. I want to get ecm tuned and bit of help with other stuff in cat mbn.
Thanks
Sid

This comparison is clear, I prefer the former.
