Hey guys, how can I find out what size gear is in my truck? And if its limited slip. Is there a site where I can cross reference the numbers from the sticker in the door jamb? My sticker shows an axle code of 31.
the gar ratio is on the tag on the back cover. and if it's an LSD or not, if you have over 10k miles, you do not have an LSD, the stock ones are weak and don't hook for anything with a few miles on them.
Thanks, I'll go check the tag. If it is limited slip it doesnt work. I'm doing the one wheel peel all over town. Just turned 10k. I also heard that the only way to get LS in a 250 was if it was 4wd. Is this true?
Hmm Should we list the people by state or county? But I think we should list them by the type of mods. So anyone with Stacks. Anyone that will argue over Fabtech or Rancho or whatever. and people that are deaf from the woo woo woo sound eminating from there tires.
Dunno about 4.88, but I sure would like 4.30's to get my RPMs up to about 2,000 at 65mph. I would be much happier when towing my 5th wheel then. I don't like to have to run 70mph at 20K GCW going down the road.
I did my math wrong... You are right 65 would put me at about 2000 with 4.10 gears. To be perfectly honest I would be happiest towing at about 60 MPH. I'm just not in a big hurry when it comes to towing all that weight. 60 with 4.3 would have me at about 1950 RPMs and 65 would be at about 2100RPMs. Still liveable in my book and would make getting that weight moving a lot easier.
