Dang it! We were looking for a new vehicle and I talked the wife into waiting. I guess they don't want to take anything away from their 2500/3500 trucks. Stupid GM.

GM actually put the 5.7 Olds diesel in the half tons from '79-81 and then used the new 6.2 in all trucks starting in the fall of '81 for the '82's.

6.5L in my 1994 GMC Yukon...placard on the door says 1500; That's the 1/2 ton chassis. Great truck; great motor I believe it was also an option on the 1500 series pickups

There's a guy at work with a 6.5L 1500 pickup, it's a turd (as they all were)

Too bad about the new ones, I guess it'll take another $100 spike in crude oil to spur interest again :bang

yea a 190hp n 380tq isn't much of diesel. prolly worked best in the 1500's. . .But GM was always good at building strong Gasser's . . .
