I own two '02 Dogde diesels. One is a H.O. 6 spd tow truck. The other is an automatic daily driver. The automatic has 4" exhaust and a H.O. pump. Nothing else was changed. Was thinking of adding a H.O. turbo to it. Looking at the turbo on the automatic, the exhaust turbine housing is tiny compared to the H.O. turbo. . I'm thinking the H.O. turbo will give it more high end power but am afraid it might be poor on the low end, especially taking off from a stop. Any comments on what I will end up with?

the hy35's have a 9cm exhaust housing, and compared to the hx35's 12cm it is quite small and restrictive. You'd gain top end w/ the hx but loose a little bit of spool. I think it would be a good swap if the hx was free, but IMO it wouldn't be worth buying a new one unless you really had EGT problems, and even then I'd go after market. :2cents
