Is there a way to get my truck to hi-idle any time I want it to? I can set the hi-idle feature to "on" but it doesn't come on unless it is very cold.

Excellent question. I'd like that, too, but without destroying my wiring harness or voiding my warranty.

There's a way to do it similar to the LB7/LLY, but you have to run 12v+ to the ECM on two pins. I'm not sure if switches are involved, and I don't want to be wrong..

I'm waiting on a guy who's done it to outline it for me.

Go to Page 4 or 7 which shows the schematic for the PTO system.

You will need to complete the wiring for the LT Green 488 circuit to the PCM C1 Pin 60 and the yellow 2522 circuit to C! Pin 8. You will need to install a latching switch to bridge from the PTO switch connector pin A [Brown 41 circuit] to both pins B and E. This will give you the PTO Enable signal and the Feedback signal to the PCM.

When the truck is parked and idling and you throw your switch it should move up from base idle to about 800 RPM. This is the PTO Standby Speed. You can have your dealer re-program that setting to a higher RPM or you can attempt to get to the SET speed which corresponds to the +12 v signal that would be output to pin G [DK Blue 84 wire] of the PTO switch connector. Since you don't have cruise I am not sure that wire makes it to the PCM pin either. You will have to ring it out and complete it to PCM pin C1 34. When you are in PTO mode [800 RPM] and you send the SET pulse you should go to 1250 RPM. Just remember these signals have to make it to the PCM pins.

Looks like it is alot like the 6.0's. I will get some pics next week when I try this, hopefully at the same time I wire up my aux. fuel tank.

I thought they were not going to do the DSP5 for the LBZ?
