Brother just bought a 2010 6.4 and we put on the spartan DPF delete kit. Truck runs great but after a 100 mile trip we changed screens on the gauge and noticed the fuel temp was 148 degrees. Truck was wrecked and rebuilt in the front just before he bought it with new coolers in the front. Just wondering if there could be air in the fuel cooler. The coolant level for the fuel cooler is full.

Anybody have any ideas as to why the temps are so high, and what I could try to correct it. I'm all ears. Thanks.

There was a thread on one of the forums, tdstop, tdgarage or fte on a screaming fuel cooler pump (air locked) that had the procedure for purging air which I recall involved removing the fuel cooler pump from it's mount and inverting it.

I noticed that myself after towin' in the heat all day last week. Had to add a little bit of coolant then I was good.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see if we can bleed the air out. As we do have a squeal under the hood.
