I am trying to decide between getting two EU 2000Is with a parallel kit or one 3000I. I was really leaning towards the two EU 2000Is but have come across a good deal on a 3000I. My biggest concern is if the 3000I will keep up with my my 5th wheel. It has a 15,000btu AC unit plus the other normal features. Anyone have any input on if the 3000I will handle the 15,000 btu AC unit or not?

I went with the EU3000I and could not be any more happy..I have not got to run the 5er off of it yet but during the Ice Storm here in the midwest..I ran our funance, 2 refrigerators and a deep freezer..plus lights and a coffee maker...I think my even ran the microwave at one point..As soon as I get the camper back for being repaired Ill let ya know how it works out. the EU3000I is Honda's RV generator from what the Honda dealer I use was saying and to tell ya the truth its pretty sweet. the only bad part of the 2 eu2000is is that you have to maintain 2 generators. hope this helps..

I guess it's all in want you want the genny to do. I know people who run the AC's on their 5th wheels with the 2000i and get away with it. Now I know the microwave is not working at the same time! The only issue I see with the 3000 is the weight and the reduce portability. The plus would be your not on the ragged edge of overloading the genny. The minus of the two 2000i is already pointed out. You now have two piece's of equipment to maintain.

the tanks on those 2000's are small...and now youll be left to fill TWO of 'em.
on the plus side...at night you could shut ONE of the 2k's down <save fuel & reduce
noise>

Not sure if you made your choice yet on the generator but I got our camper home today and ran the ac and lights ect on our honda EU3000i for about 1 and 45 min and it works flawlessly and you can barley hear it in the camper.. the only thing I didn't try yet was the eco throttle but Im sure it would still be just fine..good luck with the search..

Thanks a ton for the reply. I ended up and just could not turn down the deal on the 3000 that was offered to me. I picked one up for a grand from someone that takes care of his things. He is the guy that runs it twice a year even when he doesn't need to just to keep things moving.

Wow, that is an outstanding deal. Every time I had to pick it up I would remember the great deal and it would be a whole lot lighter:happymugs

the tanks might be small but they run for a LONG time. we have a bunch of 2000s that we use for work. electric jackhammers, roto-hammers, saws, whatever you want.
