Could someone educate me on how to install a fuel pressure gauge?

What is the correct PSI range for the gauge?

How/Where does the sender connect?

I have a SCT Livewire (being delivered today). Can Livewire display fuel pressure? OBD II does report the ICP (Injector Control Pressure)..whatever that is. Is that fuel pressure? Or if it is directly related to fuel pressure, could this be used instead of fuel pressure?

Thanks much.

Fuel pressure gauge should be 0-100 psig

ICP is the oil pressure going to the injectors, it is not fuel pressure

Nothing can measure fuel pressure since you do not have a sending unit anywhere (until you install an aftermarket one)

There is a test plug on the side of your upper fuel filter that needs to be removed so you can install your sending unit at this port.
You can see the plug at the lower left of the "t" shaped fuel pressure regulator cover plate:

Actually, some people put the sending unit at this plug port, but I installed a hose from ITP (now sinister) that moves the location for the sender to a more accessible spot. Mine is now near the drivers side battery (between it and the grill essentially).

You need to buy a separate fuel pressure gauge and sending unit. I installed the Quadzilla Recon XZT.

Bismic,

Thanks much for your detailed answer. I really appreciate it.

Did you have to use an isolator as some have suggested?
