this is the root of LLY cooling system problems. This is with a light load, on a normal Phoenix afternoon. I have had this number as high as 245.

At 245, and 20 psi of boost, at 5000 ft elevation the CAC offloads an additional 154,000 BTU/hr into the radiator. This is as much heat as is required to heat about 5 homes in North Dakota. Not to be too dramatic, the radiator is under attack.

Was Stock setup "STOCK"?

What mods were done on the second run?

OATS of each run?

There is no doubt that the fan increases IAT which then reduces performance of the truck, this chart has very good data, with the above information it would be a complete picture. Not to mention the fan is also removing available HP from the package also at the same time when more hp is required to keep going.

That is why my first recommendation to anyone owning one of these trucks is to install a real "CAI", it is unfortunate that most of the units being sold as CAI or no more than a filter on the end of a tube recieving air from the same place as stock.

For referance the grade of the run and the load added to the chart would then give the typical user a guage for time before alarms for their package.

Thanks
