I rebuilt the engine in an early 99 450. I replaced all the cups and it has one that will not quit leaking. I have replaced the cup 3 times and it will not seal off. I am using the CAT glue also. Does anyone have any suggestions before I have to send the truck back not running

Make sure the head is clean and there aren't any burs or nicks in it. Also make sure the cup is fully seated. I think the ford book says to use blue locktite on the tip and around the top to seal it.

"apply Loctite(r) 262 to fuel injector"

This is from the International manual. It is a red permanent sleeve retainer loctite.

I thought it was the 242 or something like that. The green stuff is the permanent sleeve retainer loctite. Red is just a step above blue for thread locker.

Thanks for the advice. It set for a couple of days, we replaced the orings on the injector again and it has not leaked yet.
