This is on a '99 Dodge. Every once in a while, when I start it, I have NO guages (fuel, tach, oil, speedo, nothing), most of the idiot lights stay on, and after a few seconds the odometer reads "NO BUS". But it seems to run fine. If it sits for a while, everything starts working again, and after a few cycles, the CEL goes out. Anyone run across this one before? The dash panel has been out once or twice for various reasons, and it acts like a bad connection on something, but I can't find it?

also the cel is a hard code, have the truck scanned with a good scanner, it should pull soft codes and point you in the right direction.

You need to check for error codes...

Then as for the NO BUS error you might read up on the CCD network...

Also try the cluster testing...
