Hey guys I have developed a long crank time before engine starts, here is what I have checked so for with Scan Gauge.
IPR-percent is good
ICP-pressure is good
FICM-sync-1
FICM-voltage is 48-49
Batteries are new and turns over fast and runs fine after started.
I checked the drain back valve and it works[have new one ordered], pulled ICP and oil is there. Oil pressure comes up as it normally does and shows no codes.
Any help and ideas would be appreciated

IPR & ICP go hand in hand, you say it's good...but what are the readings when cranking?...also is this only upon 1st cold start or does symptom occur warm start up also?

If IPR is high like over 60% when this occurs, then I would suspect a hi-press oil system issue, or a faulty ICP sensor.

If symptom is only during cold start, then I would suspect glow plug system issue or worn injectors or bad batch fuel.

Long crank time

Harry sorry for not getting back sooner, I checked IPR cranking and cold it went to 84%before starting and ICP came right up over 500 lbs, And after warming up it starts Quicker and IPR hits 60%.
Is the ICP sensor the same as Back pressure sensor?
Thanks Ed

No problem Ed, I sometimes don't check back in either for awhile.

The 84% IPR cold cranking is a concern.

The 60% IPR warm cranking is also a concern.

The ICP and BackPressure sensors are 2 different sensors, backpress-sensor controls turbo related functions.

84% IPR means the IPR valve is closing all the way to try and build hi-pressure oil...usually means there is a leak somewhere, or ICP sensor is possibly faulty.

I would try a new ICP sensor first, it's easy to replace on your 05' yr model...it's located right on top of the passenger side valve cover.
